I'm so grateful that the Lord has provided for our team already, in that the political situation in Thailand has calmed down and that we're able to go without being fearful of what's going on.
It's also such an encouragement to know that there's so many of you here at home that are praying for us as we're there for the next two months building relationships in a place with such a minority of Christians. Some things you might can pray for while we're gone are...
- the missionaries: Scott & Valerie Payne will be directing us, and it takes a lot of preparation for the summer, having teams come to serve. Pray that they will have the dedication it takes to make the contacts and arrangements needed to have us come.
- the university students: Since most of our ministry will be teaching ESL and hanging out with students our age, pray that the students will be willing to meet and spend time with us so we can show them the love that Christ has given us. Also, please pray that they will see us not just as Americans, but as students who genuinely care about them and want to be open with why we have eternal hope and joy.
- our team: Pray for our team of 6 (Me, Becca, Ginny, Kristen, Stephanie, and Josh), that we will make the most of the time God's given us to spend in Thailand. Please also pray that we have boldness in building relationships with the Thais, and that we persevere in knowing that God will receive glory as we seek to do His work.
